Advantages over Aluminium:
- Weight: Controllers made of aluminium significanty increase weight
- Lower tightening torque and better grip: Plastic clamp offers some level of flexibility when tightening, so low tightening torque is needed to securely mount the controller. When mounted, if great force applied, controller can be rotated on the handlebars and damage upon a crash can be prevented. Aluminium controllers can’t be installed in a way they can rotate and stay securely fixed.
- Surface finish durability: Plastic products are dyed black, so if scratched or damaged they will stay black, no material color wil be exposed
